Amy Winehouse Accused Of Assaulting Men On Night Out In London - Jail Time Possible
It seems Amy Winehouse went out on a bender in London on Tuesday, and not content with getting paralytically drunk, or high on drugs, she allegedly assaulted men in not one, but multiple different incidents.
Winehouse is thought to have been out drinking in North London with Babyshambles member Mik Whitnall, probably discussing Pete Doherty’s current incarceration. Amy is now facing arrest after police received at least one allegation of assault, although judging by her activities, more may follow.
First of all, the singer is alleged to have head butted a man trying to help her hail a taxi cab at the end of the night. She is also accused of punching Moroccan musician Mustapha el Mounmi in the face after he reportedly refused to let her play on a snooker table.
When she did finally manage to get a taxi willing to take her home, she is also alleged to have become abusive with the driver. When he got her to her flat, she had lost her keys and money, and so reportedly spent 20 minutes trying to break in. When the driver asked for his fare money, it’s alleged she swore at, and tried to hit him.
The 24 year old singer, currently up for 3 Ivor Novello awards, is also rumoured to have snogged a guy in a club, and overturned tables in a bar while shouting “I am a legend, get these people out. I want to take drugs.” The Sun newspaper also has photographic evidence of her walking in to a lamppost on what they describe as her “most depraved night yet.”
That’s quite a claim seeing as after her last big night out, she ended up in hospital having nearly died from an alleged concoction of ecstasy, cocaine and horse tranquilliser ketamine.
Police are said to be investigating the fresh claims, but warned that if convicted of assault Winehouse could be facing up to six months in prison, and a £2000 fine.
