Amy Winehouse Arrested For Drugs Possession - Released On Police Bail
Oh dear, this is becoming a habit. Amy Winehouse has once again been arrested, this time on suspicion of drugs possession.
This all goes back to January when The Sun Newspaper printed pictures of her allegedly taking drugs at a party, and put a video on their website of her smoking crack through a pipe.
The British singer was arrested on Wednesday after voluntarily attending an appointment to be interviewed by police at a London police station.
Late last night she was released on police bail, which basically means while not yet having been charged with anything, she could be called back for further questioning at any time, and potentially then charged.
Winehouse’s spokesman, Chris Goodman released a statement saying:
“Amy Winehouse voluntarily attended a London police station today by appointment. She was arrested in order to be interviewed and is cooperating fully with inquiries,”
This latest trip to see the friendly London coppers comes just two weeks after the singer was arrested for assault, after allegedly slapping a man on a debauched night out.
She ended up being let off with a caution for that offence, but it stays on her record, along with this one. Maybe the police just like chatting to her, or wanted another opportunity to get their picture taken by the world’s press?
