Amy Winehouse To Be Agony Aunt On Dad Mitch’s BBC Radio London Show - Sept 1st

Amy Winehouse‘ dad Mitch, an ever present in the media since his daughter started receiving some often unfair criticism and coverage, is to host his own show on BBC Radio London. And guess what - Amy has decided to play agony aunt for the day.
I wasn’t that surprised when I read that Mitch Winehouse had been asked to be a guest presenter for Radio London while Danny Baker was on holiday. The man is in the newspapers and in the media giving his views on his daughter’s condition almost every week anyway. He’s also a regular caller whenever someone mentions Amy in a less than positive light on the radio. So this is a natural progression.
Amy Winehouse as an agony aunt though? This I’m not too sure about. I think the problem will be taking advice from someone who clearly has issues of their own. But Amy is said to want to turn the attention away from herself, and instead focus on trying to help other deal with their problems.
The Mitch Winehouse show will be on between 3pm and 5pm on September 1st, though it’s not yet known how long Amy’s part in the programme will last. If I was a betting man I’d predict that something else will come up in the meantime and she won’t actually make it. If she does, I’d suggest call screening is a must.

What’s your opinion on Mitch, Dave? Do you think he craves a bit of attention in his own right or is he simply being a protective father?

Attention seeking publicity hound. I’m sure it started out as a genuine attempt at putting people right, but he now loves all of the press he gets.
