Best Girl Group Ever? - Adele, Kate Nash, Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen, Katie Melua
Adele is a new British singer that I would put money on making it big around the world.
Her début single, Chasing Pavements, is outstanding, and her album 19 went to number one in the British charts last month. But it seems it’s not just solo success that this girl is after.
According to The Sun newspaper, Adele has indicated her desire to be in an all female super group, and the line-up is pretty damn impressive: Adele, Amy Winehouse, Kate Nash, Lily Allen & Katie Melua.
Please make it happen, as I think this would be the best girl group ever, and with The Spice Girls now no more, and a lot of the other British girl groups splitting up, the UK is in desperate need of one. Girls Aloud are okay in small doses, but this group would kick their asses.
She said:
“[We would] represent most women in the world. If we were in a band I think it would be the best band ever”.
“We’re not afraid to speak our minds, [and] you don’t need to be a doll with tanned legs, blonde hair, big boobs and good lips.”
They do have a link, as all of the above attended the Brit School in London, so it’s not completely beyond the realms of possibility. I think the only way Winehouse would get involved though is if her drug problem means she can’t perform by herself any longer.
So what role would the girls play? Katie Melua is probably the best singer there, so she’d be Sporty, Lily Allen would be Baby as she’s cute. Adele could be Ginger for obvious reasons, and Kate Nash could be Posh, sort of. Which just leaves Amy Winehouse as Scary… yeah that definitely works.
