Dirty Pretty Things & The Enemy At Pentonville Prison Video Footage

by Dave Parrack on August 29th, 2007

On Monday I reported that The Enemy and Dirty Pretty Things had played a gig live in Pentonville prison to raise awareness of the high incidence of suicides amongst young men.

Here is a YouTube video of part of the acoustic set from Dirty Pretty Things. The sound quality isn’t very good but it’s in a prison so I’m sure you’ll forgive me (and the person who filmed the video!)

Actually only lead singer Carl Barat seems to be doing much, the other band members are just standing around admiring the view (looking bored).

Here is another YouTube video, this time showing part of the actual full gig by both Dirty Pretty Things and The Enemy, and an explanation of the cause from various participants.

Apparently it was a great gig, and the amount of media coverage it was afforded should help support ‘Wasted Youth’ immensely.

Now I just need to get myself banged up in jail in time for the next gig by some British Indie legends.
