Fatboy Slim Bringing Back Brighton Party
Fatboy Slim has announced the return of his Brighton Beach Boutique party. The live dance music event was massively popular when first held in 2001, and again in 2002 but hasn’t happened since over fears for safety.
The event takes place on Brighton beach, and has a party atmosphere, as people pack on to the seafront and listen to loud music played by local resident, and master DJ, Fatboy Slim.

The last time the event took place in 2002, Fatboy Slim and the other organisers expected 60,000 people to attend, only for 250,000 people to cram on to the beach and cause chaos around the seaside resort.
Police then ended the event early, citing safety concerns, leading any idea of a repeat concert being abandoned. But six years later, Norman Cook has decided to give it another go, although the organisation has been changed somewhat.
The DJ will play Brighton beach on back to back days of September 26 and 27 between 5pm and 9.30pm. This time the show will be ticket only and local residents will be offered first preference, in an obvious attempt at controlling numbers, and keeping the peace.
Details of ticket prices are unknown at the moment, but as soon as I find out, you are guaranteed to be the first to hear.
