Is Amy Winehouse Back On Drink & Drugs?
It looks as though Amy Winehouse could be getting back to her worst, and back drinking and taking copious amounts of drugs, at least if you believe what her friends have reportedly told the newspapers.
It’s a mere eleven days since Winehouse left her enforced spell in rehab to perform via satellite at the Grammy Awards, where she won five accolades, and was the most successful artist on the night.
Since then, things looked to be going well, with a triumphant performance at the Brit Awards, where she not only performed her own set, but also duetted (if that’s the right word) with Mark Ronson on their joint cover of The Zutons Valerie.
The past few days have even seen talk of a fashion range being launched by Amy, including clothes and make-up which the singer has become known for wearing.
Unfortunately, it seems there is also a down side to all of this, and it looks as though Amy is getting back to her substance abusing worst.
A friend reported to be in her inner circle told The Sun:
Amy’s in an awful state again — she’s clearly on drugs. Many of us think full-time residential rehab is the only option but she won’t go back. She was smoking cannabis and drinking heavily as soon as she left rehab. That has now increased.”
“Everyone who’s seen her in the last week or so has been really disturbed by the state she’s in. She’s getting back to her worst. It was hoped her new album and fashion range would keep her focused but it hasn’t worked.”
Certainly the evidence is building up that Winehouse didn’t manage to get off drugs completely during her stay in rehab, and even fellow junkie, hubby Blake Fielder-Civil, seems to be sick of it.
He has reported told her not to come and visit him in prison any more, after she turned up an hour late to see him. He has also warned he’ll ban her from visiting completely if she doesn’t get herself clean and drug free sooner rather than later.
Winehouse friends and family are said to have held crisis talks this week, although without Winehouse herself making the decision to sort herself out, I really can’t see what they could achieve.
It seems my hopes that she was finally on her way to recovery were short lived, but I haven’t lost all hope quite yet.

Amy Winehouse is such a great talent. If only she could keep her personal life in order.
