Is Amy Winehouse Finally Ready For Rehab?
I’m considering changing the name and nature of this blog to ‘Amy Winehouse Music Scene’, as there just seems to be so much news about her at the moment.
I know she’s a big druggie, and her problems have seemed to converge with her career going skywards but not a day goes by when I couldn’t put a troy up about her.
Over the last few days we’ve had Liam Gallagher going to town on her, and accusations that she killed a friend’s hamster, but I just couldn’t bring myself to write about them. Instead, maybe there’s some good news in the offing for Ms. Winehouse.
A friend of hers has told the Mail on Sunday:
“Amy has always been against rehab. It’s been her one rule but her family and friends are working on getting her to do it,”
“Amy finishes her current tour in the middle of December. She has promised to consider going to The Priory if she doesn’t get clean over Christmas. She is miserable and, with her husband in jail, she has reached an all-time downer.”
“The fact is Amy’s shambolic appearances have been losing her fans, and ultimately it’s losing her business.”
So Amy is finally considering biting the bullet and entering rehab? Man, it’s about time too, she’s needed to get treatment for her problems for months now, but has continually refused.
Her insistence of staying out of rehab also made her write her biggest song to date, a kind of pledge not to go in.
I’m hoping those pictures of her with traces of coke allegedly still visible in her nostril, and the widely seen video which could show her doing a line of the stuff on stage, are her lowest ebb, and they make her get the help she so desperately needs.

Hopefully Amy can get her act together already…it’s a shame what she’s doing to herself.
