Joss Stone To Collaborate With Rap Duo Clipse - Another Step Towards American Diva
Joss Stone seems intent on making her move from English sweetheart to American diva a permanent one.
The latest step on this oft travelled path is to team up with an American act and collaborate with them in an effort to seem cooler than you are, and that’s exactly what Stone is now doing.
She has teamed up with Clipse, who NME describe as “crack obsessed”, to record a story for each of their respective albums.
Clipse, brothers Malice and Pusha-T have recorded a song for Stone’s new album, while Stone has recorded vocals for a track on Clipse’s forthcoming album, titled Spirit Of Corruption.
Stone was loved by all in the UK when as a sweet sixteen year old she burst on to the scene with her inspired mix of Pop and R’n'B. Unfortunately she was then lured to America where more fame and fortune was on offer, and there she seems destined to stay until further notice.
While her popularity has grown in the States, back home in Britain, she has been ripped to pieces for the change in accent and attitude she has undergone since leaving rainy England behind.
Personally, I would like to say one thing: America, you are welcome to her.
