Led Zeppelin Gig Postponed For Two Weeks Due To Jimmy Page Breaking A Finger

by Dave Parrack on November 2nd, 2007

Led Zeppelin Gig Postponed For Two Weeks Due To Jimmy Page Breaking A FingerThe Led Zeppelin reunion gig, otherwise known as the the tribute concert for Ahmet Ertegun, has been officially postponed by two weeks due to Jimmy Page breaking a finger.

The concert, which was originally scheduled for the 26th November, will now take place on the 10th December.

All tickets for the original show are still valid, but anyone who can’t attend the new date have until 1200 GMT on 14 November to apply for a full refund.

Page was injured last weekend and was told not to play guitar for three weeks. He said he was “disappointed” by the postponement but that it would “enable my injury to properly heal”.

This is a blow, because I know from the comments I have received on my original post detailing the concert that a lot of the lucky 20,000 fans who managed to get tickets from the 1 million people strong ballot are flying in from overseas to attend the gig.

If they already booked their flights, this postponement (though unfortunate) could mean they have to spend even more money to see their rock idols play together again.

If you are one of those attending, let me know in the comments how this will affect your plans if at all…

Wow, what a total mess. Guess it’s good I’m not going. Just how much is this going to cost people now! WAY back when I was a kid my family almost moved to London (from the states). At the last minute my mom decided against it and I know it cost a ton just to cancel tickets — and that was the 80s.

Sounds as if jimmy needs to drink some more milk or something. Must be gettin frail in his old age. I’m kidding. That really sucks for the fans…but if they can afford the tickets they can afford to change flight arrangements. I would love to see this show, but honestly I would have rather seen LZ in their prime

yeah.I’m one of the ones going from abroad.. it’s a real pain..extra 140 euro for flights and it’s already costing a fortune..

another negative is that now the great Rick Wakeman won’t be playing because he is otherwise engaged:(.. looking forward to seen Squire and Emerson though:):):):):)
