Led Zeppelin Set To Reform At Last | Ticket Packages Advertised For London 02 Gig
The rumours have been flying all year, and it seems they are finally about to come true. It looks like classic British rock group Led Zeppelin are going to be reforming for a gig at the 02 Arena in London at the end of this year.
Led Zeppelin are a legendary English rock groups, with massive songs and albums through the late 60s and all of the 70s. They split up in 1980 following drummer John Bonham’s death from alcohol intoxication.
There has been no official announcement about the reformation, and the gig yet, but the national press started advertising ticket packages this morning for a one off concert at London’s 02 Arena (formerly the Millenium Dome).
The packages advertised ranged from tickets and a night in a hotel for £269, to a top price ticket and hotel stay for £369. Ticket prices are expected to start at £60, although again, that has yet to be confirmed.
It looks like an official announcement is imminent meaning promoters will not issue a full denial, but also aren’t happy with the early public leak.
Promoter Harvey Goldsmith said:-
“There have been at least four events advertised which I suspect either don’t exist or where no tickets are on sale or indeed dates finalized. These are the very people whom our industry has spent over a year trying to convince the DCMS to instigate outlawing.
“The media should consider the consequences of giving credibility to those who rip the public off.
“There are NO packages or tickets for some the events advertised at all, nor do some of the events even exist. We are concerned that the public will be fleeced. The bottom line is that unless official adverts have appeared for concerts, tickets are not on sale. Do not buy from unauthorised sources.”
The concert IS going to happen, it’s just when, and how much prior warning fans will have to get tickets before the touts and eBay sellers get in and snap all the tickets up.
It’s thought that John Bonham’s son Jason will replace him on drums, and team up with the 3 remaining members John Paul Jones, Robert Plant and Jimmy Page.

I can’t wait for this, I’m willing to start selling body parts for a ticket to this gig, especially if it’s going to end up genuinely being a one off affair.
Does this excite you as much as it does me? What do you think of the tickets being advertised prematurely? As always your comments are appreciated, and always read.

This is huge news. I’m rather concerned about you selling body parts. Remember kidney okay; brain; well, you only have that one ;)

Fantastic news, however, why the 02 Dome and not somewhere like Knebworth where 70000 plus can see them? The chances of me getting a ticket are negligible and what part of my body is of any use probably won’t generate enough for a ticket anyway!!!
PS
John, Robert, Jimmy & (Jason) - in case you read this any spare ticket(s)?

Jennifer, My brain wouldn’t raise enough money anyway ;). It’s definitely big news though!
Iai, I probably would as well!
Kev, maybe if this one off is successful, and the fans demand more, they’ll play somewhere bigger.
I have first dibs on any spare tickets mate ;)
