Led Zeppelin To Produce New Material After November London 02 Arena Gig?
It seems that Led Zeppelin are likely to write and produce some new material after their reunion concert at the London 02 Arena, at least if Jimmy Page is to be believed.
The legendary Zep guitarist claims it’s almost inevitable that the band will head back in to the studio following their reformation performance on November 26th.
He told Jam! Music:
“Look, I’d be really surprised if there wasn’t - you know, I mean I just know the way we are.”
“We’re musicians…as we’re playing we’ll probably be coming up with all manner of things.”
“And that will be fun. I mean that’s what it’s all about. Let’s do the O2 show, shall we? And then we’ll speak to you afterwards.”
Oh mama, make it happen. I wonder if he’s spoken to lead singer Robert Plant about all this though?
I also think this statement may make a full reunion tour more likely, even though Plant has gone on record to deny such claims.
If Led Zeppelin bring out a new album, and know they have a potential audience numbering millions who are desperate to see them play live, they’ll surely not let the fans down would they?
What do you think of the prospect of new material, and maybe even a World tour?

1 opinion for Led Zeppelin To Produce New Material After November London 02 Arena Gig?

Well, if I was one of the fans who paid through the nose for a one-off gig, I’d be pretty pissed off! The ticket price for the tribute concert was so high because it was a unique event, a true once in a lifetime thing.
If this leads to a full UK tour - which I wouldn’t mind BTW - I’d be disappointed that the whole thing was slightly duplicitous.
