Leona Lewis New Single ‘Bleeding Love’ | First Play Of X Factor Winner’s Debut Song

by Dave Parrack on September 16th, 2007

Leona LewisLeona Lewis won last year’s X Factor UK, and seemed destined for great things. But despite releasing ‘A Moment Like This’ immediately after the final of the reality show, we haven’t heard much from her since.

I actually thought she’d dropped off the face of the planet at one point as months went by with no new news on her.

But here she is, about to release her ‘proper’ debut single at last. Even though ‘A Moment Like This’ went straight in at number one, I don’t think it can be counted as an official release.

Not only was it a cover version of the original by original American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson, it was also only released to make shit loads of money from the millions of viewers who religiously watched The X Factor every week.

Take a listen to her new single ‘Bleeding Love’…

I’ve only listened to it once as I write this, but I can’t say I’m too impressed so far. Granted she has a great voice, she always did have, but where’s the energy and excitement in the track?

I’ll take a few more listens and give the single a full review nearer the time of release. ‘Bleeding Love’ is out on October 22nd in all good record shops and some frankly rubbish ones too.
