Lily Allen Banned From Visiting America | Authorities Take US Visa In Los Angeles
Lily Allen has had her US Visa cancelled, and has effectively been banned from visiting America. The British singer and pop tartlet was reportedly held at Los Angeles International airport and questioned about her March arrest in London regarding her clash with a paparazzi photographer.
Apparently she spent 5 hours in an interrogation room where her lawyers negotiated her release. How this affects her recently announced US tour dates is as yet unknown, but the singer insists they will all still take place. She told the Daily Mirror…
“It is my intention to play my American dates in September. This depends on the authorities granting me a new work visa.”
“I want my fans to know that I will do everything I can to be back in September.”
“I don’t like letting my fans down and this is a situation I am sure we can sort.“
The US airport authorities seem to be a bit gung ho these days, and to my mind it’s a bit over the top. OK, if one of the Bin Ladens decided to do a bit of window shopping in New York, then maybe hold and question them about their motives, but our Lily Allen is pretty harmless don’t you think?
This just seems to stink of bullying, and for no other reason than that Lily is a musician. She’s already been held at an airport in New York, and that was the reason she was given at the time. I know British music is the best in the world, but that’s no reason to stop our pop stars entering the country! I’m sure there are thousands of fans of Lily across the States who will be up in arms if their favourite can’t complete the tour because of legal red tape.

Stupid… we’ve let Posh and Becks into North America and I think they’re a far bigger threat than little Lily Allen. Is this for real?

Indeed, Posh could kill a man with one stare and Becks balls are lethal. It is for real, she had her visa revoked and they’re trying to get it back in time for the MTV VMAs.
