Lily Allen Loves Leona Lewis
Leona Lewis, currently sitting pretty at number one in the UK singles chart, has an unlikely celebrity fan.
Lily Allen, someone who I would associate with the more independent side of the pop industry wouldn’t be my first guess at being a fan of reality show winner Lewis.
Leona won last year’s X Factor show and has just released her first proper single, the one with her own style on it, rather than what Simon Cowell and his cronies think she should sound like.
I wasn’t very impressed the first time I heard Bleeding Love but it is growing on me (like a rash) as it’s played continually on every radio station I tune in to. Having said that, I wish Take That had beaten her to number one, as Rule The World truly rocks.
Lily Allen wrote on her blog:
“Leona Lewis is well nang. Nuff said, I have just watched all her X Factor performances, I love her, no one can touch that girl. Big up Leona.”
Well that told all the naysayers who continually deride the reality show winners as untalented and manufactured, me included.
The X Factor 2007 meanwhile is on it’s final leg, with the final 10 vying to win the show, and be odds on to have a Christmas number one. If the judges don’t continue to ruin it, then maybe we’ll find another winner with the talent of Leona Lewis.

I’m sorry Dave, but no-one who writes like that can tell me, a class A naysayer, anything. Leona Lewis may be a talented singer, but she is the epitome of manufactured acts. Lily Allen, on the other hand, wouldn’t know talent if it gave her a good slapping.
