Lily Allen Pregnant With Chemical Brother’s Baby - Thank God She’s Given Up Smoking!
Lily Allen, that softly spoken, easy living, play it safe, uncontroversial pop star… oh hang on, I’m getting her confused with Dido. Let’s try again…
Lily Allen, that hard rocking, mockney, hard drinking, chain smoking pop star, is expecting a baby with Chemical Brother (I’m so glad it’s singular) Ed Simons.
She announced the happy news on Tuesday, which gave the press ample opportunity to dredge up month old pictures of her enjoying a crafty cigarette, and claiming she’s an irresponsible mother to be.
No morons, actually she has quit smoking, as every right thinking pregnant woman would do, and those photos were taken before she, or anyone else, knew she was with child.
It’s not clear yet if the happy couple were trying for a baby, or if this is just one of those things that happen. If it was planned, it could explain the strange behaviour Lily has exhibited over the last few months when she fired some of her staff, and dumped her record label.
The only bad thing about this news is that it is likely to affect recording and the release of her 2nd album, which I was looking forward to sooner rather than later.

Aw Dave, you missed the boat on knocking Lily up! I know you must be devastated right now.
On the brightside, Ms Winehouse’s husband is behind bars right now. The time might be right to move in there and comfort the lil’ lady?
