Lily Allen Responds To Press Reports | Not Out Of Control In Cannes - BNP Paparazzi
Lily Allen has been getting some interesting press lately mainly from the tabloid press who have been covering her 2 week holiday in the south of France.
First there were paparazzi shots of her sunbathing and swimming topless, then reports of her being totally out of control in Cannes, and lastly speculation that she may be trying to get back together with ex boyfriend Ed Simons from The Chemical Brothers.
It’s very unlike Lily to take things lying down and not speak her mind so she has now chosen to answer the criticism and rumours flying about in a new blog post on her MySpace page.
She first defends her behaviour in the south of France claiming everything she did there was normal behaviour for her age.
“For the record I was not thrown off anybodys yacht in Cannes , occasionally I drink wine with lunch and yes i swim topless , this in my book is not embarrasing behaviour I’m 23 years old it’s not my fault if photographers follow me everywhere and need a story to print with their pointless pictures.”
She then wholly condemns the paparazzi who seem to spend their whole life trying to grab a snatch or boob shot of a celebrity, and likens them to members of a ultra right wing neo-nazi political party here in the UK.
“I wish digital cameras hadn’t been invented , if these photographers had to pay for film it wouldn’t wouldn’t be worth their time , there is nothing proffesional about them , most of them look like they wouldn’t be out of place at a BNP meeting . On the other hand digital pictures are easier to retouch , so i shouln’t complain.”
She lastly addressed the speculation which occurred after she had lunch with former boyfriend Ed Simons, the man who she was having a baby with before suffering a miscarriage. They then split up and Simons was treated like a social pariah for having supposedly left her, even though it seems to have been a mutual decision.
“I went for lunch with my ex boyfriend yesterday , lunch . I am not some failed baby making machine desperately to trying to win my man back . Sometimes I think these journalists are still living in the 50’s . No one knows anything about my relationships . Ed and I are friends , who went for lunch yesterday , thats it.”
Apart from the spelling mistakes and terrible grammar, which we can forgive her for, the post is very enlightening as it straight away puts to bed any of the tabloid press speculation which has been popping up. It really just shows how journalists can twist a story to make a celebrity look bad.
I’m personally glad the topless shots were published though, but then I’m a man, and Lily is gorgeous.

everyone, has to jump on the wagon. your more concern with who’s fighting who in showbiz, and misquoting something or quoting statements from other articles.Lily Allen defends herself as she should and when she does you say she’s complaining the press puts a twist on everything.
