Michael Jackson To Play London 02 Arena? Following Prince, Spice Girls, Led Zeppelin
It looks like Michael Jackson could be about to make a live comeback, by embarking on a three month tour.
Fair enough, it’s his right, and if the man needs to make a few bucks to shore up his crumbling empire, then that’s fine.
But it looks as though he could be keen to make the 02 Arena in London his location for a series of concerts, taking up a residency at the former millennium dome.
My first question is why here, can’t he choose somewhere in America to bring his weird pop crap back? I’d rather he just stayed away from this country for good to be honest.
Also, is this such a good idea anyway, as he’s pretty much lost the plot now anyway. His appearance at the World Music Awards was atrocious, and he failed to sing anywhere near how we all like to remember him doing so.
The 02 Arena has been the choice for a lot of big acts over the last year, notably Prince, who sold out his whole run, and delighted everyone who was fortunate to get tickets for one of the gigs.
Then there are the Spice Girls, who are currently performing there as a part of their comeback tour.
And Led Zeppelin have just played the venue, making their long awaited comeback. They were more than welcome, and wowed their legions of fans, but Wacko Jacko isn’t really welcome.
A source told The Daily Star newspaper, and reported here via Digital Spy:
“The general consensus is that Jacko has the fan base to attract enough gig-goers from all over the world to make this a huge success.”
“Booking the O2 up for more than a couple of nights might seem like a big gamble on his and his promoters’ part, but just think of the history. People will flock to witness Jacko cover his back catalogue.”
He probably would sell out night after night, because despite the amount of controversy surrounding him, and the lack of any good songs in the last few years, there are a huge number of deluded fans around the world who would still like to go and worship at his feet.
I, for one, would stay away, and I’d urge every real music fan to too. Further than that, I wish the big freak would just retire, and live out the rest of his life in the obscurity he deserves.

David Parrack what the hell have you achieved keep your stupid comments to yourself , urge people to stay away why away from the media stuff you obviously all believe Michael Jackson is a legend and was proved innocent and should be allowed to perform anywhere without your small minded comments. I know if he does perform you’ll be wrong.

MJ is a legend, Thriller is at number 3 in the album charts this week even after all the re-issues and greatest hits compilations which means people still want to hear his music.
