Muse Win Two MTV Europe Music AwardsThe big problem with the European version of the awards is it never quite lives up to it’s bigger, badder cousin over in the States. Plus there’s a definite need to give awards to bands from European countries that normally wouldn’t beat their British or American rivals in a month of Sundays.

Can anyone actually claim that Tokio Hotel are a better band, or more deserving winner than My Chemical Romance? Or that the Justice video for ‘D.A.N.C.E’ was in any way as good as the fantastic Foo Fighters’ The Pretender? I’d like to see them try.
