Reading and Leeds Festival Line-Up: Metallica, Killers, Rage Against The Machine
Wow, what a trio of headliners that is! And that’s not all those punters lucky enough to already get tickets are going to be in for, as the full line-up of acts playing over the three days of the festival has been announced, and it’s a doozy.
Weekend tickets for the festival, held over two venues on the weekend of August 22-24, have unfortunately already sold out, although there are still tickets for individual days available through the official sales page.
Otherwise, people who are just learning who the acts are will have no other option but to look on eBay, and pay top whack for the privilege.
First of all let’s take a look at the headliners:
Metallica may not be quite as good as they were in their heyday, but live, playing their huge selection of classics, they are a mouth watering prospect.
The Killers may only have two albums worth of material to draw from, but they proved their worth live last year by headlining Glastonbury, and doing a great job despite sound problems.
Rage Against The Machine are an awesome draw for these festivals, and their appearance makes me jealous of all those fortunate enough to have secured tickets.
The line-up for the Reading and Leeds festivals so far (courtesy of NME) is:

It’s a hell of a line-up and one that is sure to be added to as the festivals draw nearer.
It certainly beats the line-up for Glastonbury this year, although interestingly enough, it’s again headlined by American bands. What happened to supporting home grown bands?

Oh man, I am so jealous. Is there a reason I’m so crap at securing tickets? How the hell do you do it?!?

Ha, getting tickets was hell. Myself, my brother and eventually my girlfriend were all on different computers trying all the sites. After 45 minutes my brother got annoyed, clicked this one link to See Tickets loads of times out of frustration and, to his surprise, one of the windows that opened got through!
I never get through myself either, I relied on a friend of a friend who was through for my Glastonbury ticket last year. It is so annoying refreshing pages and watching the See tickets’ servers crash.
