Sugababes Pole Dance In Manchester

by Dave Parrack on April 4th, 2008

Sugababes Pole Dance In ManchesterThe Sugababes, surely the sexiest British girl band ever (Destiny’s Child beat them hands down, but they’re American, so they don’t count) have apparently indulged in a spot of pole dancing at an after-show party in Manchester on Wednesday.

The girls have been on a tour of the UK for the past few weeks, and arrived in Manchester for two sold out shows at the Apollo on Tuesday and Wednesday.

I actually attended the Wednesday show, and will be giving my review of it tomorrow here on Brit Music Scene.

But forget that for now, as thinking about the girls pole dancing is much more interesting than actually seeing them perform… so to speak.

The girls are apparently big fans of exotic dancing, and so decided to kick off their shoes and give it a go themselves when they visited the Boutique gentlemen’s club following their after-show party at Manchester’s Red Rooms.

According to The Sun newspaper, Keisha Buchanan (pictured above), the most naturally gifted singer in the group, also told a fellow club goer that she had blown thousand of pounds in a lap dancing club in Atlanta in America.

I can see why they’d be fans of the art, but to actually partake themselves? That seems a little strange, especially as they are hardly known for their on stage choreography, and have three dancers on stage with them so that they can concentrate on singing and looking good.

All I wish is that I’d known about the after-show party, and could have wangled myself an invite. After their show on Wednesday evening, I just went home by myself instead. Oh, to be part of the entourage!
