The Sex Pistols To Play One-Off Birmingham Gig To Prepare For Isle Of Wight Festival

The Sex Pistols To Play One-Off Birmingham Gig

The Sex Pistols are set to play a one-off gig at the tiny Birmingham Academy in preparation for their headline slot at the Isle Of Wight Festival in June.

The festival is set to be staged on the Isle Of Wight between June 13th and 15th with the vintage punk rockers closing the second night of proceedings.

The warm up gig will take place two days earlier, on the 11th June. It will be the first time that The Sex Pistols have played Birmingham in 32 years.

Tickets for the Birmingham gig go on sale at 9am Friday morning (March 28th), and are expected to sell out within minutes of the website and phone lines going live.

The Isle Of Wight Festival meanwhile is already sold out, which means that people who want one last chance to see John Lydon and co. going sick on stage and causing near riots should make sure they get up early on Friday.

The Kaiser Chiefs and The Police are the other confirmed headliners for this year’s festival. Lily Allen pulled out claiming delays to her album, although it was thought the fact she was being treated for depression could be more to blame.
