VIP Band Manager | Run Your Own Real Band… Along With 49,999 Other People!
Have you ever wanted to manage a band but don’t know the first thing about how to do so? Well, then this site could be just for you. A new company has been set up solely to offer 50,000 fans the chance to manage a band, and hopefully be successful enough to launch a 12 date UK tour and to gain a UK Chart number 1.
This works exactly like ‘My Football Club‘, a British based website where 50,000 run a football club. Once you’ve signed up to the site, you are one of the 50,000 people who have a say in the running of the band, and the decisions which could make or break the group’s career.
This is all done entirely online, where you and your fellow band managers get to vote about every facet of the day to day running of the band, such as who are the members, and what tracks will go on their album.
Band members are currently being invited to audition for the new group, with the winning band receiving a £1 million deal, and the stewardship of the army of managers.
The 3 targets of the new band will be to gain 1 million fans, score a number 1 hit record in the UK and secure a 12 date tour around Britain. Progress on these aims will be charted via online TV bulletins.

I think this is a great idea, I just wish I’d thought of it first. With the increasing popularity of interactive music sources and video games such as Guitar Hero and the forthcoming Rock band, this seems like a natural progression, giving a band back to the fans.
Who knows, if this is a successful venture, there may be similar schemes around the world. This could be a whole new net phenomenon. Get in there on the ground level, I know I will be.

Hopefully Emma yes. I thought I’d get the VIP treatment after reviewing the site and giving them traffic but not yet ;)
